As part of our business development, it was obvious that to penetrate the American and oceanic market, offering automation based on a Siemens platform was restrictive. In May 2019, we were consulted for a project in Ireland in the pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of the installation is to drain and dose powder ingredients directly from big bags for the production of intravenous solutions. As the customer\u2019s head office is based in the USA, all its automation is based on Allen Bradley platforms. As Visval does not have the necessary Rockwell skills, we looked for a partner to outsource the automation part of our systems. After consulting several suppliers, we chose Icube fairly easily, even though Rockwell offered the same service. Located in French-speaking Switzerland, but close to the German-speaking part of the country, Icube is resolutely international and multilingual. We entrusted them with the conversion of the Siemens program to Rockwell and the manufacture of the PLC boards for this project. Icube was able to quickly assimilate the subtleties of our SoliValve\u00ae technology and understand the finer points of the program. The Icube engineer assigned to the project was involved in the FAT testing of the blank installation at a subcontractor\u2019s facility and also in the commissioning at the end customer\u2019s facility. The health situation related to the Covid-19 demonstrated Icube\u2019s flexibility. Program adaptations for the exchange of information with the customer\u2019s DCS to refine the operating modes were made remotely (Modem\/TeamViewer) almost as if Icube had been on site.<\/p>\n
